Hi, I'm Terri
I'm the founder of Cornerstone Vitality, and I'm completing my training as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner with the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA).
Why nutrition
My interest in nutrition is personal. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis, and for a long time nothing seemed to help my constant nausea. I was also dealing with frequent migraines and relied on a monthly injection to manage them.
Changing the way I eat made a tremendous difference for me. I no longer need that injection, and my nausea is now mild and infrequent. That experience showed me how much the foundations matter, and it's why I'm passionate about helping others look beyond their symptoms to the whole story.
Everyone's body and health history are different, and my experience isn't a promise of any particular result. Please never stop or change a medication without talking to your doctor.
My background
Caring for people has been a thread through my whole working life. I was a licensed massage therapist, and I spent years supporting older adults and people with developmental disabilities. Those roles taught me to slow down, listen closely and treat each person as a whole human being, not a list of symptoms.
I'm also a software engineer, which means I love a good system: noticing patterns, asking "why?" and breaking big goals into small, workable steps. Nutritional therapy brings those two sides of me together. It's practical and organized, and it's deeply personal.
That's the idea behind the name. A cornerstone is the first stone laid in a foundation, the one everything else lines up with. Food and daily habits are a foundation too, and when we tend to them thoughtfully, everything built on top has a better chance to thrive.
How I work
- I listen first. Your story, your goals and your daily life shape every recommendation.
- I keep it realistic. Small, sustainable changes beat dramatic overhauls.
- I work alongside your healthcare team, never in place of it.
Away from work
I'm a wife and a mom, and a dog mom to three miniature schnauzers who are convinced they run the house. When I get a quiet moment you'll find me with a good book, working on a loom knitting project or out on a hiking trail.
